pretty good EXCEPT FOR..
the glass doors are painted, not tinted, so the remote control's infrared signal cannot pass through. This was a major disappointment as I was planning to store a few components behind the glass doors, but because of the black paint, I need to keep them in the center area so they can intercept infrared signals.

good value for money
I ordered this tv stand recently and I am pretty satisfied with my purchase.

PROS:
- The wood finish is pretty good and gives the stand an elegant look.
- Contrary to some of the other reviews I found it relatively easy and intuitive to assemble.
- The glass door panels for the shelves are a nice to have feature (but there is a problem here which is listed under CONS!)
- The price! I got this for around $90. So a great value for money considering it looks like one of the higher priced ones.
- Plenty of shelf space for small and large stuff.

CONS:
- Low quality of some of the screws and plastic parts. I expected them to be a little better. But, that said, it doesn't affect the sturdiness of the unit.
- The glass panels although nice, are not tinted to be black. They are PAINTED as black!! really painted!! That is an outright disappointment for an otherwise great piece of furniture.

Nice looking and easy to put together
Nice sturdy, high quality product.
Assembly was very easy.
Nice looking, but not five stars due to some light scratches on the wood.
However, they did provide a staining pen to repair the scratches, which was a nice touch.
Dimensions are true to specifications, I had to fit it into an exact space.

Nice TV Stand
Once it is assembled, it is a fine piece of furniture that can hold the weight of of my 46" LED TV and all the surround sound components. It was a difficult to assemble as the holes to attach the top to the frame didn't align properly (when one screw was threaded in the other screw hole did not line up with the frame threads). It took some creativity to get both screws in at the same time, and required some disassembly and reassembly while varying from the instructions in order to get both screws started in their threads at the same time. If not for this problem, I would have given it a 5-star rating.
Great Deal On A Quality Stand
I picked up this stand from Galactics for $175.00, which is about a 64% savings off from the MSRP. I received the item with the free ship in 2 days from the time of order. Considering the weight the box was received in excellent condition with only a small hole in the side. The instructions state that no tools are required. This is possible, however the wood legs are attached to the steel frame with allen head screws. On the unit I received the allen head screws were only finger tight and required a couple turns of the allen wrench to snug them up ... not really a big deal if you have the tools. However, if you do not have an allen set laying around you may want to pick one up. The $400.00 MSRP is steep for this stand, and I personally do not think it is worth that much. It is a nice product in the $175.00 - $200.00 range.

really love it
i was very pleased with this purchase. it was easy to put together, my son had it together in an hour. it is a nice looking piece of furniture and the amount of heat it puts out is surprising. the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is it had a small scratch on the bottom piece but it was easily disguised, because of color i took a black marker and ran it over the scratch and it covered it, believe me i am very picky, and all in all i am very happy.

Fireplace console
I love this fireplace - TV console. I live in a small townhouse and this really gives the place a homey feel. The extra storage comes in handy as well. I found it pretty easy to put together. I did it myself. I haven't used it for heat yet, but I am looking forward to this winter to give it a try.

Better than expected
I purchased the off-white media center. It arrived almost a week early, in perfect shape, not one scratch! Its true--its very easy to put together, looks much nicer than I had expected, the fire does actually look somewhat realistic, it throws out a considerable amount of heat (controlled by thermostat), and I love the remote that came with it. Another bonus is that my speakers fit in the side cabinets so I don't have to look at them AND the louvered doors can be left closed without muffling the speaker sound. The height of the unit is perfect too, I no longer have to prop my tv up on a tray. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the weight of my 42 inch Vizio made the top of the console sag in the center. Remedied that problem with the "optional" post, but the ad for this product says the console is idea for 50-Inch flat screen TV which I assume would weigh much more than the 42 inch that I have. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Quick, Easy, Strong and Beautiful
I am a handicapped person and have trouble with a lot of things, but not this. The day I received this stand I put it together myself within 5 min. I can vouch that it can handle having almost a 1000lbs on it and it doesn't affect it at all. We have had to move the TV that is on top a few times and the surface is very resilient there have been NO scratches. The design is excellent for threading cords of component electrical pieces. It also has a great amount of functional storage space. The color is beautiful and I love the fact that it is made in a sustainable way out of bamboo. I am so happy with this purchase that when I can afford it I intend to buy the modular computer desks made by this company to replace the one I have.

5 Minute Assembly and Beautiful!
I just received this, literally 10 minutes ago and it's already put together! and I am a normal sized woman who did it alone! It's beautiful and solid! I have no doubt it will hold our big screen TV. I love that it's environmentally friendly and won't off gas awful chemicals like most particle board TV stands! This is a must have if you are looking for a TV stand!
Quality Product
If you are completely sick of the laminated particle board cheap furniture that breaks within 6 months then you should definitely buy this product. Like they say you get what you pay for. Amazon has a great price compared to buying it from other retailers.

It is very easy to assemble, only took me about 20 minutes and I did it by myself with no tools needed. Heavy durable materials and looks great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that doesn't/ can't have a wall mounted TV. Its nice that the compartments are open and not closed in like many other entertainment centers. Many people don't realize that the closed in compartments heat up quickly and can overheat and damage your components.

TV stand as it should be!
This was a great purchase! At first I thought this TV would be too low and too wide, but so not the case. This stand holds my 47" TV, contains so much room for storage (DVD's, PS3, etc.), and occupies hardly any space in the house. The instructions were quite simple and took me maybe 30 min. to an hour to put together. The safety glass it comes with gives this stand such a beautiful shine/reflection it will go with any decorum you may have. Shipping was fast for standard. For such a great price, enjoy a TV stand that will amaze your friends and family. Highly recommend it.

Attractive TV Stand
I ended up purchasing this through Walmart.com instead of Amazon. I wasn't sure about the quality and wanted to be able to return it easily. The stand is sleak, stylish and seems sturdy. The dimensions are very accurate. Nothing to worry about.

I should disclose that I have not yet tested it with anything heavy though. It holds just my cable box, blu-ray player and disc collection. My 42" LCD is mounted to the wall above it, centered at about 50" high where I find it comfortable for viewing. I don't think I would want my TV to sit directly on the stand because it is so low. But that is just personal preference.

Assembly was not difficult. The instructions were pretty clear.

There are a few things I would point out just FYI:

1. The glass has a black film/paint on the undersurface. So the shelves are opaque. They are not "smoke" or translucent if that is what you are expecting.

2. The floor levelers are only on the rear of the...
Surprising Stand
I was a little hesitant about ordering this item because it seemed on the inexpensive side but I thought it just might be a nice find. It is! The construction is quite stable and materials do not look or feel cheap. The styling fits our decor perfectly and, most of all, it's met my wife's approval. Usually putting these DIY items together is an exercise in frustration. As noted elsewhere, the instructions were straightforward and I had the stand assembled and in use in 45 minutes. If you have need of a stylish, unobtrusive TV stand, I recommend this one for your use.
