kinda flimsy
I bought this as a mothers day gift for my wife. She wanted a special box to keep our kids momentos in. While the box looks really neat and unique, I am a little disappointed with the quality of the box. The wood is much thinner than I expected and the hinges are kinda weak. It looks great, arrived from the company quickly and in perfect condition, BUT I don't think the price for this flimsy box is worth what I paid for it ($108 PLUS shipping). Maybe worth $40-50 at most.

Extremely shoddy
I purchased this as a gift for my 5 year old grandson, and it is so poorly made and so flimsy I will be unable to give it to him. It is listed as being made of wood, but is actually only veneer which is not attached to any underlying wooden support at all. One of the inner supports for the lid came loose as I was unwrapping it. It is also much smaller than it appears in the photos; in one of them it is placed next to a chair and appears to e a full size trunk, but it is nowhere near that size. That would bother me less if it were not constructed of a thin piece of wood veneer about the thickness and strength of cardboard. It would literally be ruined if something bumped into it, or you put very much inside it. I would only consider buting from this seller again if they alllow me to return this item, and maybe not even then. Beware if you plan to purchase this and expect to actually use it for anything at all.
Looks can be deceiving
I purchased this trunk to add a little flavor to my bedroom, and when I received this trunk I was furious...... It is not worth $80 at all it's not even worth $50, this trunk should be sold for $19.99. It looks big by the pictures but it is very very small and can hold only 1 comforter if you fold it and push it down, and hurry and slam the trunk closed, very dissatisfied with this purchase. I returned this item the next day and I had to pay $17 for shipping, so needless to say I was out $27 for shipping..... I would definitley not recommend this trunk to anyone not ever my worse enemy....... Total disappointment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
