I decided on this tv table cause i liked the way it looked and said it could hold up to a 47 inch flat panel TV. After i recieved it and put it together i soon found out my 37inch flat panel TV doesnt even fit on it. the whole stand it 47 1/2 wide. Well, that includes the places on the side to hold games or movies. It is DEFINATLY not wide enough to hold a 47 inch TV. I do like the way it looks and love the purple table top, but I am VERY disapointed in the fact that it wont hold my 37 inch TV.

Awesome if you own a 32" HDTV
If you own a 32" HDTV then this is a perfect fit..This will NOT fit anything bigger. It's pretty easy to assemble, I had it together in about 30 minutes. After you get it assembled it's a very solid and sturdy piece of furniture.Amazon should change there description saying it will fit up to a 47" because like the other reviews said, The whole thing is 47.5 inches wide and my 32" has an inch of space on each side. That being said, I love it. I highly recommend it...Hope this helps..

it says fits a 47" flat panel tv..... it wont fit a 42" (that we have) it MIGHT fit a 32" but that may even be a squeeze, we can't return it either because you can't take it apart, locking screws, so once you buy it and put it together you have to figure something out, i mean if we had a 32" tv, it would be great, it can hold the weight pretty sturdy, but i think we are going to try and see if someone we know may want it so we can atleast maybe get some of the money we paid for it back... and get a stand from walmart or something... or.... buy wall mount stabilizing brackets (a friend suggested) and turn the thing upside down use stabilizing wall brackets, and be done with it... i have small children so i don't think that is really an option, lol... but i do have to say this, i am very unhappy with the fact it stated "fits up to 47" flat panel tv" 123 not very well spent, next time i will be more careful, and may not even buy furniture from amazon.com again... better be safe than...
